This week’s spotlight is Jennifer Clark with Mill Creek Residential. Jennifer has been a loyal customer of ours for years and over that time, many of our designers have had the privilege to work on various projects with her.
As Jennifer’s career has grown, she has remained loyal to JPT and gives us a ring anytime she needs help with graphics and printing. She’s the type of client that is basically a “household” name around the JPT office and I mean that in the highest regard!
Jennifer, thank you for always thinking of us and allowing us the opportunity to be your first choice in graphic solutions!
Q: Please tell us about your company and your role there?
I am a Regional Director with Mill Creek Residential Trust and I cover all of our managed Texas assets. Mill Creek Residential develops, acquires and operates high-quality apartment communities in desirable locations coast-to-coast. We combine our deep understanding of each market with 30+ years of expertise and a fresh innovative approach to the apartment industry, to build relationships and places in which people thrive – creating real and enduring value for our residents, investors and associates.
Q: What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is I am given the autonomy to make fair, reasonable decisions to make residents and associates appreciate Mill Creek as a company. The company culture is defined by a unique spirit of teamwork and is supportive of work/life balance, constant improvement, and uncompromised integrity.
Q: In what ways does your company use graphics and print products?
We use graphics and print products from JPT for everything from name tags to promo items. We also use the creative team for redraws from architect plans, flyers, banners and signage.
Q: What are some things you wish you had known going into your line of work?
I wish I had known how truly rewarding making people happy with their homes would be. There is not a day that goes by that is like the last, this business keeps me on my toes every day!
Q: What advice would you give to anyone in the same field of work that would make their “graphic” lives easier?
Don’t do it yourself, leave it to the professionals!
Q: What’s your favorite memory from working with JPT on a design or promotion?
There was a document that Isabelle helped me with years ago when I worked in Denver. I think that I made 50 changes to it along the way. She was always patient and offered suggestions that were applicable to my business. It is great to work with professionals who really understand what I need. JPT has an excellent group of professionals who have initiative and great communication skills.
Q: What knowledge have you gained out side of your current position that you feel has helped with your role?
I’ve learned not to fear the unknown. A leap of faith can change your life!
Q: We’ve talked a lot about your work life but can you tell us a little about what you do when you aren’t working?
I have a very supportive family at home. My husband makes sure that I can be available to travel occasionally for work and he takes over the duties with our three sons. My oldest son is a freshman and is the starting quarterback at Aubrey High School and plays select baseball with the AlertFive Warhawks. My younger two sons are in Kindergarten and First Grade. They both play baseball already and they are looking forward to the day that Daddy lets them play football like Big Brother!
