Letter / Tri-fold
A common fold used for letters and brochures. The right panel folds inward and is slightly narrower than the other 2 panels, then is covered by the left panel yielding a 6 page/panel product.
Accordion or
Z Fold
A common fold for flyers and pamphlets. All panels are the same size.
Parallel Fold
Sheet is folded in half, then in half again with parallel folds resulting in 4 panels/8 pages.
French Fold
Sheet is folded in half, then in half again with right angle folds resulting in 4 panels/8 pages.
Roll Fold
This fold is common with brochures and results in 4 panels/8 pages. When looking at the inside of the piece, the 2 right panels (the smallest) fold inward, then the left panel closes over to shut.
Gate Fold
This fold style yields 4 panels/8 pages. The two outer panels fold inward, then the piece folds in the center to close.
